Punching

Since this company was founded, the focal point of our production operations has been the punching of non-metallic materials. This involves us in manufacturing all customer-specific items in accordance with dimension, material and desired quantity in sharp, shearing or belt steel cut operations on a vast array of punching machines and automatic units. The Group has its own tool-making facility for all solid punching tools, and we lay the groundwork for achieving absolute precision.

Materials

All punchable, non-metallic materials, especially elastomers, plastics and many other sealing and insulation materials. Here, we rely upon our comprehensive material depots at all locations. We are also delighted to process materials provided by yourself on a piece rate basis. You can find an overview of our most current material types on our material page.

Shapes, dimensions, applications

Using sharp and crosscut tools we produce punched parts to order with diameters ranging from 1 mm thru ~200 mm. The manufacture of many other punched parts and parts left on the belt mostly involves the use of belt steel tools up to a max. component size of 2000 x 1150 mm.

Turning & milling

The precise, mechanical processing of thermoplastic standard and high-performance plastics and elastomers with high-performance automatic CNC turning machines as well as milling and machining centres is yet another focal point of our production operations. This covers a wide range of rational processing operations for rods and panels.
Permanent material availability prevents bottlenecks and improves on-schedule delivery performance.

Materials

All plastics – in particular PA, PC, PE, PEEK, POM, PP, PS, PTFE and PUR (polyurethane, Vulkollan®). We can process further materials on request. You can find an overview of our most current material types on our material page.

Shapes, dimensions, applications

Turned seals such as ring seals, thrust rings, spiral rings and O-rings as well as other shaped rings and/or many technical parts can be produced by ourselves with CNC precision in:

  • Rod machining in diameters of up to 100 mm
  • Chuck machining of diameters of up to 3000 mm
  • Panel processing up to 3000 x 2000 x 70 mm (L x W x H)
  • Milling machining centre 410 x 280 x 160 mm (L x W x H)

Casting & moulding

With high-performance casting plant and an in-house mold-building shop, QUADRIGA, based in Norderstedt, can offer you anything from a single component to a long production run from its ultra-flexible range of polyurethane casts and moulded parts. A broad range of semi-finished PUR materials rounds off its service scope.

Water-jet cutting

This cutting process without tool overhead assures high flexibility. It is best suited to the development of prototypes for test purposes and the precision cutting of components or long production runs, as well as simple or complex 2D geometries. By way of data, we need CAD files, preferably DXF or DWG, that can then be converted into the CNC program. You can also provide us with a sample, or communicate the dimensions to us, then we will produce the cutting program for you as an billable item.

Materials

Elastomers and plastics, all foamed materials, leather, felt, cork, sandwich materials etc. Over and above this, we can also cut special materials for you and we can also work with your own materials. You can find an overview of our most current material types on our material page.

Shapes, dimensions

In the size range of 3000 mm in length and 2000 mm in width, we can cut almost all non-metallic materials  – except paper-based ones. Depending on the material resistance, thicknesses up to a maximum of 70 mm can be processed. For borderline cases, we recommend a trial cut beforehand.

Another strength of water-cut technology lies in the deformation-free cutting of thick, cellular materials. Even with very soft materials, parallel cuts are guaranteed here.

Further processing

As well as classical stamping of parts, we use many other mechanical kinds of machining such as plunging, roughing, drilling, cutting, splitting, sawing and grinding for the manufacture of parts.

This variety of machining and finishing steps enables us to manufacture individual and customer-specific parts.

We also have the option of applying pad printing or imprinting to identify parts. In the context of modern quality management, we offer automatic component control with an optical picking machine, including precision unit packaging and individual printing of each dispatch unit. Our part cleaning and packaging service is becoming ever more popular, also in the medical sector.

Liquid photopolymer plastics are applied on a platform in extremely thin layers and simultaneously cured with UV light.
Benefit: Suitable for highly complex shapes and precision parts with an accuracy of 0.1 mm, very smooth surfaces and minimal wall thicknesses. Even material combinations and moving components are possible.
